Professor of Systematic Theology
Arnold Huijgen has been professor of systematic theology since 1 November 2016. Previously he was associate professor (2014-2016) and part-time lecturer (2008-2013). From 2007 to 2013 he was congregational pastor within the Christian Reformed churches. He is a supervisor at a care institution and an educational institution, and regularly writes columns for De Waarheidsvriend. Recently he published Lezen en laat lezen (Read and Let Read): Dealing faithfully with the Bible (2019). His research is focused on hermeneutics, the trinity, and the theologies of Calvin and Bonhoeffer.
