Vengeance often is problematic in our modern eyes. It is surrounded by a sphere of excessiveness and emotionality. Acts of vengeance may open a vicious circle of vengeance.

In this webinar Arjan van den Os is discussing how to understand Divine Vengeance in the New Testament. He thereby takes into account hermeneutical aspects, and the role that divine vengeance plaid in Greco-Roman contexts, in the Old Testament and early Judaism.
