Dr. H. (Henk) de Waard, born in 1983, studied theology at the Theological University of Apeldoorn (BA 2006; MA 2010) and Semitic Languages at Leiden University (BA 2009). His doctoral dissertation was titled “Jeremiah 52 in the Context of the Book of Jeremiah” (Theological University of Apeldoorn, 2019). From 2009 to 2016 he was a teacher of Christian religion at the Christelijk Scholengemeenschap Prins Maurits, Middelharnis (the Netherlands), and from 2011 to 2016 research assistant in Old Testament studies at the Theological University of Apeldoorn. From 2016, he was a lecturer in Biblical Hebrew and Aramaic here; since 2023, he has been an Old Testament lecturer at the university. His research focuses on the biblical book of Jeremiah.
